Flow of Combat
Combat will consist of turns each lasting one second, most actions will require more than one second to resolve. Standard actions take three seconds, move actions take one second, and free actions take one second. Weapons take a varying number of seconds depending on type.
Once initiative is called, everyone declares what their action will be in initiative order. Once everyone has declared, everyone will put up a counter showing the number of seconds left before their action resolves. Once the counter counts to zero, their action resolves in initiative order. After any action resolves, the person who resolved that action then declares their next action and resets their counter to the number of seconds it will take to resolve their action.
The counter ticks down once all actions that can resolve that second do. This continues until returning to the non-combat map.
